Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief Chapter 2

In Chapter Two of Percy Jackson, The Lightning Thief, the chapters title is "Three Old Ladies Knit the Socks of Death." And during the rest of the school year, nobody knows who Mrs. Dodds is. Percy comes to a conclusion that everyone is playing a cruel trick on him. As he proceeds with his school life, his grades get worse and worse, he becomes very aggressive in class. When the end of school approaches, he finds out that he will not be invited back to Yancy Academy for his next grade year. Though he is excited to go home and see his mom again, he is going to miss Mr. Brunner and Grover. Percy then decides that he will try to do better in Latin class. But it becomes clear to Percy that studying for his Latin exam won't be that easy. He forgets quite a lot about the Greek gods and goddesses. He chooses to ask Mr. Brunner for some advice before his exam, but as he approaches Mr. Brunner's office, he hears Grover and Mr. Brunner talking about him. Though he can't help but overhear everything, Grover speaks of things such as not having enough time, and the summer solstice and of the mist, and certain things like keeping him alive. But Percy is almost caught when he makes a peep, and runs away into a classroom. Then during the next day after his Latin exam, Mr. Brunner begins to say farewell to Percy, telling him its for the best he leave Yancy. Percy is very hurt by this coming from his favorite teacher at Yancy. Percy then leaves and Grover and him take a bus back to New York. Grover seems to be acting strange, overcautious with his surroundings. Percy tries to ask Grover about what him and Mr. Brunner we're talking about, but Grover ends up lying to him anyway. Unfortunately the bus breaks down in a nice, quiet stretch of country. Everyone then makes they're way off the bus, where three old ladies sit beside a fruit stand. Grover is not that happy to see them, and tries to persuade Percy to get back onto the bus, but Percy refuses. They three ladies stare at Percy and one of them cuts a piece of yarn and Grover is terrified.

This chapter was very exciting, and I could easily relate to it, having difficulties in school, especially on Flvs exam's. But I have noticed a lot of organization patterns, such as Spatial, Cause & Effect and even Compare & Contrast, I believe the auther was explaining a lot of details using Cause & Effect the most.
